Henkel's Nairobi plant turns fully renewable, eliminating electricity-related CO2 emissions.

Henkel's Nairobi plant has achieved full reliance on renewable energy, a significant milestone in its sustainability efforts. This transition eliminates carbon dioxide emissions from electricity use, aligning with the company's 2030+ Sustainability Ambition Framework. The plant generates about 95% of its electricity from on-site solar installations and sources the remainder from external renewables, preventing approximately 3.5 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
