Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on September 28 in Alleghany County, Virginia. A 31-year-old cyclist, Conor Ryan Chadwick from Clifton Forge, was struck by a southbound Dodge Ram on Route 42 near Matthews Lane around 9:50 a.m. Chadwick was transported to Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital but later died from his injuries. The driver was unharmed, and the investigation is ongoing.
