In September, India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) reached a transaction value of INR 20.64 lakh crore, marking a 31% year-on-year growth, with 15.04 billion transactions, a 42% increase. Daily transactions surpassed 500 million, averaging INR 68,800 crore. UPI has maintained a value above INR 20 lakh crore for five months. Growth is attributed to increased person-to-merchant transactions, while other systems like IMPS saw declines.
