On September 30, Baltimore RNLI rescued an injured sailor from a 52-foot yacht off West Cork. Alerted by the Irish Coast Guard, the lifeboat crew launched at 8:42 PM and reached the yacht at 9:09 PM, eight miles southeast of Baltimore. Due to rough seas and the sailor's injury, a tow was necessary. The crew arrived at Baltimore Harbour at 10:48 PM, where the sailor was transferred to emergency services before the lifeboat returned by 11:10 PM.
