RCMP helicopter rescues stranded trapper 24 km from Highway 63 in northeastern Alberta.

In northeastern Alberta, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) conducted a helicopter rescue of a stranded trapper whose all-terrain vehicle had overturned 24 kilometers from Highway 63. The man, a resident of Fort McKay First Nation, was on his way to his cabin when he became stuck. Found cold and wet but unharmed, he was airlifted to Lac La Biche airport. Officials noted that the swift rescue averted potential medical complications.
