Montana's Behavioral Health Commission recommends $300M investment to enhance mental health and developmental disability services.

Montana's Behavioral Health System for Future Generations Commission presented its final report to Governor Greg Gianforte, recommending investments from a $300 million fund to enhance behavioral health services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. The report includes 22 long-term recommendations and 11 near-term initiatives, with estimated initial costs exceeding $100 million and $131 million annually for ongoing funding. Discussions will continue on a separate $75 million for state facility improvements.
