Irish Labour Court overturns WRC's Coolebridge racial discrimination ruling against Chris Murray.
The Irish Labour Court overturned a Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ruling that found Coolebridge, a direct provision centre operator, guilty of racial discrimination against employee Chris Murray, who was mocked for his English accent. Initially ordered to pay €3,500, the Labour Court upheld Coolebridge's appeal, stating that Murray could not provide evidence of discrimination based on race during the relevant period. Coolebridge was not represented at the original hearing.
