India transfers anti-profiteering oversight from CCI to GSTAT on April 1, 2025, ending new cases and promoting dynamic pricing.
Starting April 1, 2025, India will transfer oversight of anti-profiteering complaints from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). No new anti-profiteering cases will be accepted post-transition, allowing businesses greater pricing flexibility. This change, prompted by the GST Council's recommendations, reflects stabilized GST rates and aims to foster a more dynamic pricing environment. Existing cases will still be processed until resolved.
