Exoplanet Barnard b, half the mass of Venus, orbits the closest single star to our Sun, Barnard's Star, in 3.2 Earth days.

Astronomers have discovered an exoplanet named Barnard b orbiting Barnard's Star, the closest single star to our Sun, located six light-years away. Barnard b has about half the mass of Venus and completes an orbit in just over three Earth days. Researchers suggest there may be three more exoplanet candidates nearby. Despite its proximity to the star, Barnard b is too hot for liquid water. The findings were published in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
