29-year-old Derry man charged with assault and non-fatal strangulation of two-year-old son.
A 29-year-old man from Derry faces charges of assault and non-fatal strangulation of his two-year-old son, among other offenses. The child’s mother reported the incident after the child allegedly said, "daddy battered me," and police found marks on the child consistent with strangulation. The defendant denied the allegations, and bail was denied due to potential interference with the investigation. He is set to appear in court again on October 24.
