The 18th annual Footrace for the Fallen in Manchester honored fallen police officers, starting at the police station and ending at Gill Stadium. Proceeds support the Manchester Police Athletic League. Concurrently, the 14th annual Connecticut Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run in Middletown raised nearly $100,000 for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Concerns of Police Survivors, honoring several fallen officers.
