NSW nurses reach interim 3% pay increase agreement with government, suspending strikes.

Nurses in New South Wales (NSW) have reached an interim agreement with the government for a 3% pay increase, effective July 2024, in exchange for suspending industrial actions impacting public hospitals. This increase is less than the 15% requested by the Nurses and Midwives Association, which will continue negotiations for better pay and conditions. The government has also proposed a 10.5% pay rise over three years for all public sector workers.
