Delhi High Court orders Indian government to release ₹10 crore for AIIMS Delhi to treat 18 rare disease patients within 3 days.

The Delhi High Court has ordered the Indian government to release ₹10 crore to AIIMS Delhi within three days for the treatment of 18 children with rare diseases, such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Gaucher disease. The court emphasized that halting treatment would harm the patients’ health. If the funds are not released, the joint secretary of the Union health ministry must appear in court. The ruling comes despite the government's request to withdraw the order due to budget constraints.
