A missing 16-year-old girl was rescued by the Eugene Springfield Metro Drone Team and 15 Search and Rescue volunteers after being located via a drone that detected her heat signature. She was found in a blackberry thicket near the Willamette River, exhausted and suffering from cuts during a mental health crisis. After receiving treatment, she was reunited with her family, and the drone operator expressed pride in contributing to her rescue.
