Sharad Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), announced that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition will finalize seat-sharing discussions within 8 to 10 days ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections. He stressed the necessity for the opposition alliance to win power "at any cost" and stated that candidate selection will focus solely on winnability. The MVA includes the NCP, Congress, and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT).
