From September 15 to 20, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police conducted a high-volume vehicle stop project in Vermillion, Alberta. The operation seized two handguns (one stolen), 15 grams of meth, 48 grams of cocaine, and cash linked to criminal activity. It resulted in 65 traffic violations and $32,000 in fines, along with 11 outstanding warrants and 28 criminal charges. Cpl. Troy Savinkoff highlighted the importance of targeting criminals using highways for illegal transport.
