Paraglider rescued, airlifted from Blue Grouse Mountain crash, West Kelowna, BC, sustained injuries, taken to hospital in stable condition.
On September 27, Central Okanagan and Penticton Search and Rescue teams worked together to rescue an injured paraglider who crashed on Blue Grouse Mountain in West Kelowna, British Columbia. COSAR responded first, assisting paramedics on-site. The Penticton team then airlifted the paraglider to an ambulance using a helicopter long-line operation. The injured individual was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
