The Newcastle Knights' attempt for a third consecutive NRLW premiership ended with a 25-16 semi-final loss to the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium. The Roosters led 22-4 at halftime and maintained their defense against a second-half comeback by the Knights. The Roosters will face Cronulla in the grand final after Cronulla's surprising 14-0 victory over the Brisbane Broncos.
