The Odisha government will distribute the first installment of Rs 5,000 under the Subhadra Yojana to over 4 million women on October 9. Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, the program aims to provide Rs 50,000 to eligible women aged 21-60 over five years. This initiative, part of the BJP's election promises, is expected to empower more than 10 million women across the state. The funds will be distributed during the Durga Puja festival.
