Ghana's Ministry of Lands denies presidential daughters' involvement in illegal mining, labels claims as false and politically motivated.

The Ghanaian Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has denied allegations from North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that President Akufo-Addo's daughters are involved in illegal mining (galamsey). The Ministry labeled the claims as false and politically motivated, urging the public to disregard them. It clarified that the Elite Minerals Company, linked to the allegations, was registered in 2008 and granted a lease in 2012, during the previous administration.
