During Oklahoma's pregame at Jordan-Hare Stadium, an Auburn cheerleader unintentionally kicked defensive back Makari Vickers in the helmet while performing backflips. The incident was widely shared on social media. Despite Vickers being a sophomore with no recorded stats this season, Auburn went into halftime leading 14-7 against Oklahoma, thanks to two touchdown passes from quarterback Payton Thorne.
