David W. Odell, a 63-year-old from Eight Mile, Alabama, died in a single-vehicle accident on September 26. His 2024 Freightliner dump truck overturned on Atmosphere Road, near Poarch Road, around 2:45 p.m. Odell was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash, which occurred approximately six miles north of Atmore.
