Brian Allen Keys, 60, of Cedar Rapids, has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder following a shooting incident on July 8. The victim, Tyree Smith, 29, was shot in the chest but survived with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The altercation began when Smith arrived to pick up a grandchild without permission. Keys is also facing multiple assault charges and is held on a $1 million bond.
