WarHorse Casino in Omaha generated a record $1.4 million in gaming taxes for Nebraska in August, contributing 43% of the state's total gaming tax revenue of $3.2 million. The casino's gross gaming revenue for the month was nearly $6.9 million. Built by Ho-Chunk Inc., the economic arm of the Winnebago Tribe, the casino's second phase will complete its gaming floor and expand services by spring 2025. It is Nebraska's first state-sanctioned casino.
