On September 27, South Louisiana Community College and Early College Academy were locked down after student Adrian Harmon, 26, was found with a concealed handgun. Harmon, arrested by Lafayette Police, brought the firearm to campus following a previous vehicle burglary to prevent theft. Authorities noted no intent to harm anyone, and thankfully, no injuries occurred among students or staff.
