A shooting in Pitt County, North Carolina, claimed the life of 30-year-old Lakota Locklear on September 25. Authorities found Locklear dead from gunshot wounds at a mobile home in Farmville. Timothy Chavis, 26, of Red Springs, was identified as the shooter and arrested on unrelated warrants for assault and threats. He is held at the Pitt County Detention Center with a $5,000 bond.
