U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer Oscar Orrantia was sentenced to 20 months in prison for violating a U.S. citizen's civil rights and falsifying records during a 2019 incident in New Mexico. Orrantia physically assaulted a 63-year-old man, injuring him, and later submitted a false report. In a separate case, former officer Miguel Angel Delgado received a two-year sentence for using excessive force and falsifying documents during incidents between 2019 and 2020.
