Survivors share experiences, PSNI updates VAWG framework and increases arrests under new legislation.
Domestic abuse survivor Chelsea Hamilton and stalking victim Jane have shared their experiences to encourage women to report violence and seek justice. Their stories coincide with the Police Service of Northern Ireland's (PSNI) revised framework addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG), aligning it with responses to terrorism. The PSNI has made over 3,000 arrests under new legislation since 2022, amidst rising concerns about VAWG in Northern Ireland.
