Samsung was fined ₩10.5 million (approximately $8,000) for violating South Korea's Atomic Energy Safety Act after two workers at its Giheung semiconductor plant were exposed to excessive X-ray radiation during maintenance in May. The incident, caused by faulty safety devices, exceeded national radiation limits. Both workers are being monitored. Samsung has suspended the equipment involved and is cooperating with investigations to enhance safety protocols.
