The Indian Army is significantly enhancing its artillery capabilities along the China border by acquiring 100 additional K9 Vajra howitzers, swarm drones, loitering munitions, and advanced surveillance systems. The modernization includes a variety of 155mm gun systems and aims to extend the range of the Pinaka rocket system. The Army is also developing hypersonic missiles and collaborating with the private sector to strengthen its ammunition supply chain.
