Grain terminal workers' strike in Metro Vancouver stalls as union rejects increased offer.

Negotiations to end the strike by grain terminal workers in Metro Vancouver have stalled after two days. The Western Grain Elevator Association expressed disappointment as its increased offer was rejected by the Grain Workers Union Local 333, representing around 600 employees. Picket lines were established at six terminals. The employers claim they have reached their financial limit, and the mediator will now report to Minister of Labour Steven MacKinnon.
