Michael Wayne Galvan, former vice president of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, has been convicted of wire fraud for defrauding investors out of $2.8 million. Using his position, he misled investors to secure loans for his construction business, MGB Builders, under false pretenses. Galvan faces up to 20 years in prison, a potential $250,000 fine, and must repay his victims. Sentencing is set for December. The rodeo organization has distanced itself from him.
