Darius Sullivan has been convicted of first-degree murder and attempted murder for the 2021 shooting of Bradley Police Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic, who later died, and officer Tyler Bailey, who was wounded. The officers were responding to a complaint about barking dogs at a hotel when the shooting occurred. Sullivan's girlfriend faces separate charges related to the incident. Sentencing for Sullivan has not yet been scheduled.
