Czech Senate runoff elections held, ANO party gains seats, ruling coalition maintains majority.

Czechs held runoff elections for one-third of the Senate seats, with the opposition ANO party, led by former Prime Minister Andrej Babis, advancing the most candidates. The ruling coalition, under Prime Minister Petr Fiala, retains a Senate majority. Results from the two-day vote will be announced on Saturday. Babis' party recently excelled in regional elections, winning 10 of 13 regions, while the junior coalition party, the Pirates, left the Cabinet after a leadership dispute.
