Christopher Kirwan, a 56-year-old grandfather from Dublin, was fined €500 for breaching the peace during a protest near the former Crown Paints site on July 15. Although he was not part of the protest, he became abusive when asked to leave by police. Kirwan, who has eight prior convictions, pleaded guilty and was spared jail time, with the judge ordering him to pay the fine within three months.
