Walmart plans to relocate its Rutland, Vermont store to the former Diamond Run Mall site, building a new 170,995 square foot Supercenter anticipated to open in 2027. The new store will include groceries, auto care, a drive-through pharmacy, and online pickup services. This project aims to retain existing jobs and create 100 additional positions, along with 100-150 construction jobs. Approval under Vermont's Act 250 is currently in progress.
