Nova Scotia is investing $21.9 million in initiatives to enhance energy efficiency in housing. The Affordable Rental Construction pilot will incentivize developers to create green, affordable homes, while the New Home Research Project will provide energy evaluations for new constructions outside Halifax. The funding will also bolster existing programs aimed at improving energy efficiency in multifamily housing and train builders on net-zero standards. The province targets net-zero emissions by 2050.
