Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission mandates ISO 37001 certification for construction companies bidding over RM100 million by 2026.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will require construction companies bidding for government contracts over RM100 million (US$24.2 million) to obtain ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System certification by 2026. This measure targets Class G7 companies to enhance transparency and integrity in the construction sector, which faces significant corruption risks. Companies lacking certification may be excluded from tenders and face potential financial leakages estimated at $5 trillion annually by 2030.
