Texas A&M Task Force 1 deploys to Florida for Tropical Storm Helene, responding to a FEMA request.

Texas A&M Task Force 1 has been deployed to Florida in preparation for Tropical Storm Helene, which may become a hurricane before landfall. The team includes 80 personnel and various vehicles and boats, responding to a FEMA request. Additionally, the Salvation Army and American Red Cross are mobilizing disaster response teams to provide essential support and shelter to affected communities as Helene approaches the Gulf Coast.
