The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in Kenya arrested William Otieno Okoth for impersonating a senior Nairobi County official and attempting to extort Sh100,000 from a citizen. Okoth claimed he could secure a job for the complainant’s wife in exchange for the bribe. The EACC conducted a sting operation after the complainant reported the demands. Okoth is in custody for further questioning as the EACC urges public vigilance against fraud.
