35-year-old hiker bitten by bear, Highline Trail closed in Glacier National Park.
A section of Glacier National Park's Highline Trail remains closed following a bear encounter on September 19, where a 35-year-old hiker from Washington was bitten below the knee. The trail will reopen once park rangers confirm the bear has left the area. The injured man was treated and flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Other closures in the park include Sperry Trail and Oldman Lake Wilderness Campground due to bear activity.
