David R. Burke, a West Frankfort man, is facing multiple charges after stealing a Williamson County deputy's patrol vehicle while being detained for a disturbance at a convenience store. He attempted to run over the deputy, prompting a high-speed chase that reached over 100 mph. Burke eventually crashed the vehicle in Perry County, was hospitalized, and later arrested. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
