Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) plans to construct India's first automated people mover (APM) system, or air train, to enhance connectivity between Terminals 1, 2, and 3, Aerocity, and Cargo City by 2027. Covering 7.7 km, the project aims to replace existing shuttle bus services, improve passenger convenience, and lower the airport's carbon footprint. Estimated to cost around ₹2,000 crore, it will follow a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer model.
