Asian Development Bank joins Partnership for a Lead-Free Future to eliminate childhood lead exposure by 2040.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has joined the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future, a global initiative aiming to eliminate childhood lead exposure by 2040. This initiative, led by UNICEF and USAID, seeks to address toxic lead exposure affecting 400 million children in Asia and the Pacific, which results in cognitive impairments and $1 trillion in annual economic losses. ADB will integrate lead management into its environmental programs and collaborate with governments in Indonesia, India, and the Philippines.
