A Calamus-Wheatland elementary student was struck by a car on Highway 30 near a stopped school bus at 7:50 a.m. on Monday. The child was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries and will be observed overnight. The Clinton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. The school district is offering counseling and support services to students and families affected.
