1.3 tonne cocaine bust linked to Operation Bask, arrest of Auckland residents.

New Zealand authorities arrested three Auckland residents linked to Operation Bask, the nation's largest cocaine bust, seizing 1.3 tonnes valued at $253.75 million. The cocaine, concealed in a produce container, was shipped from Ecuador via Panama using a method called "piggybacking." The trio faces multiple charges, including importing and possessing cocaine for supply, following earlier arrests related to a 30kg shipment in December 2021.
