South Korea donates $500k to UN World Food Programme for drought relief in Namibia.

In October 2024, the Republic of Korea will donate $500,000 to assist communities in Namibia affected by drought. The funds, managed by the UN World Food Programme (WFP), aim to support 24,500 people at risk of malnutrition over six months. This includes food vouchers for 21,000 individuals and meals for 3,500 children. The initiative complements local efforts to combat the El Niño-induced drought and stimulate the economy.
