Andrew Partridge, a Newcastle council parking officer, was assessed with a 17% psychological impairment after being verbally abused by his manager for using a disability parking permit. The NSW Personal Injury Commission found his manager's actions led to chronic anxiety and depressive symptoms. Partridge took sick leave post-incident and did not return to work. Despite his complaint being upheld, he was disappointed by the CEO's commendation of the manager.
