NASA astronaut Sunita Williams has assumed command of the International Space Station (ISS) for a second time, alongside fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore. Their mission, originally set for eight days, has been extended until February 2025 due to issues with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft. A SpaceX Crew Dragon is being prepared for a rescue mission to safely return them to Earth. Williams previously commanded the ISS in 2012.
