The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved a cultural policy mandating four years of Marathi language instruction in all schools and making drawing compulsory until Class 8. It targets ten sectors including arts and heritage, proposing a 25-year master plan for Marathi conservation and the establishment of a national-level Music University. Additionally, two corporations to support economically weaker Brahmin and Rajput communities were approved, each with Rs 50 crore in seed capital.
